Must-Have
- 9+ years in software engineering with 3+ years in architecture roles.
- Technical Proficiency in Python, SQL with hands-on experience with AWS core services
- Strong system design skills across distributed systems, APIs, data stores, caching, messaging, and event-driven patterns.
- Strong communication skills, ability to translate complex concepts into actionable guidance.
What You’ll Do
- Architecture & Design
- Define target state architectures, reference implementations, and integration patterns.
- Create high-level and low-level design artifacts.
- Provide hands-on architectural guidance and mentorship to engineers; conduct design reviews, spike solutions, and POCs.
- AWS Cloud Leadership
- Establish and enforce AWS best practices: account strategy (multi-account), IAM least-privilege, VPC design, high availability, resilience, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
- Architect and guide implementations using services such as: Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, CloudWatch/X-Ray, AWS WAF, AWS KMS, Secrets Manager, and IAM.
- Security, Reliability & Compliance
- Embed security by design by using encryption in transit/at rest, key management, token-based auth, policy-as-code, and guardrails.
- Coordinate with IT team on disaster recovery strategies (RTO/RPO), chaos testing, SLOs/SLIs, and error budgets.
- Partner with Security and Compliance on standards as needed
