The platform is built to improve operational efficiency, enhance user experience, and enable data-driven decision-making across teams.
Together, our brands work towards building a comprehensive education ecosystem that blends technology, content, and personalised guidance to deliver meaningful learning experiences.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Tech Lead to drive the architecture, development, and scaling of our in-house EdTech platform. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing a robust multi-panel system, ensuring seamless interaction between different user roles, and building a scalable, high-performance product from the ground up.
This role requires a strong mix of system design expertise, hands-on coding ability, and team leadership to guide a growing development team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance architecture for a multi-user, multi-panel platform.
- Build and optimise systems that support multiple roles such as students, telecallers, counsellors, admissions teams, and admin users.
- Actively contribute to backend and frontend development, solving complex technical challenges.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of frontend and backend developers.
- Establish coding standards, best practices, and efficient development workflows.
- Conduct regular code reviews and ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
- Collaborate with product and business teams to translate operational workflows into technical solutions.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure system scalability, performance optimisation, and data security.
- Identify and reduce technical debt while planning for long-term system growth.
- Continuously evaluate and implement technologies that improve platform efficiency and user experience.
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience in software development, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in building complex web platforms or internal tools with multiple user roles and workflows.
- Strong hands-on experience with modern frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks like Next.js (v14/15).
- Proficiency in UI development using Tailwind CSS and component libraries like shadcn/ui.
- Experience integrating animations using tools such as GSAP and AOS.
- Solid understanding of API handling using Axios and frontend performance optimisation.
- Strong backend development experience using Node.js with NestJS (TypeScript-based architecture).
- Expertise in designing and building scalable APIs and backend systems.
- Experience working with PostgreSQL and database design (schema design, optimisation, indexing).
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for deployment, hosting, and scaling applications.
- Experience with Firebase (authentication and real-time database or Firestore) and understanding when to use it effectively.
- Familiarity with headless CMS/tools like Sanity or similar systems for content and CRM workflows.
- Strong understanding of system design and architecture, especially for multi-user, role-based platforms with multiple panels and workflows.
- Experience in building or managing role-based access control systems (RBAC) and dashboard-driven applications.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and deployment workflows.
- Familiarity with Docker or containerisation is a plus.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code with proper documentation and testing practices.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to performance, scalability, and security.
- Good communication skills and ability to mentor junior and mid-level developers.
