Profile - Shopify Team Lead
Experience - 8+ Years
Location - Ahmedabad
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead end-to-end Shopify, Shopify Plus and Shopify for Enterprise development projects — from
requirement gathering to go-live.
· Architect scalable and high-performing Shopify solutions with a focus on performance, SEO, and
conversion.
· Oversee and mentor the development team — perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and
ensure best practices.
· Collaborate with the Sales team, Designers, BAs, and PMs to translate business needs into technical
solutions, define architecture, provide an estimation and be able to give demos.
· Develop custom Shopify apps, backend services (using NodeJS or Python), API integrations, and third-
party service connections.
· Manage Shopify migrations from other platforms like WooCommerce, Magento, or custom builds.
· Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing Shopify stores.
Technical Skills Required:
· Strong expertise in Shopify, Shopify Plus, and Liquid templating language.
· Experience in custom theme and app development (public and private).
· Proficiency in any one backend technology — NodeJS or Python (NodeJS preferred).
· Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, and REST/GraphQL APIs.
· Experience with Shopify API integrations (ERP, CRM, Payment, Shipping).
· Familiarity with Headless Commerce and frontend frameworks (ReactJS, Next.js) is a plus.
· Knowledge of Shopify CLI, GIT, Azure DevOps, and deployment pipelines.
· Experience in optimizing Shopify SEO, site speed, and conversion tracking.
· Understanding of Shopify Storefront API and Hydrogen framework (preferred).
· Good understanding of Shopify Apps ecosystem and marketplace submission guidelines.
