Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Leader with deep expertise in architecting and delivering AI‑driven platforms. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist capable of owning the end‑to‑end engineering lifecycle, defining scalable architecture, and leading cross-functional teams to build robust, production-grade AI solutions.
This role requires strong engineering judgement, system design mastery, and the ability to convert ambiguous business needs into well-structured technical strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Architecture & Technology Strategy
- Own and define the overall technical architecture across application, data, AI, and cloud layers.
- Architect scalable systems integrating:
- LLMs & AI frameworks (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, LangChain, Hugging Face)
- RAG pipelines and vector databases (Pinecone, Chroma, Weaviate, FAISS)
- Backend services using Python, Node.js, FastAPI, microservices
- Cloud infrastructure solutions (AWS preferred)
- Set technical standards for:
- Coding practices
- Architecture patterns
- Security, compliance, and observability
2. End-to-End Delivery Leadership
- Lead the full product development lifecycle:
- Requirement interpretation
- Technical design
- Development & quality assurance
- Deployment & monitoring
- Drive cloud-native deployment strategies using:
- Kubernetes
- Terraform
- CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure systems meet enterprise benchmarks for scalability, performance, reliability, and security.
3. AI/LLM Engineering
- Architect and optimize:
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Model routing/orchestration
- Multi-agent systems
- Prompt engineering frameworks
- Oversee document ingestion pipelines using OCR, embeddings, metadata extraction, and content governance.
- Ensure model governance, monitoring, and evaluation pipelines are in place.
4. Team & Stakeholder Leadership
- Partner closely with product managers, data scientists, designers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Lead distributed engineering teams, mentor developers, and drive engineering culture.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Translate business objectives into actionable engineering plans.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including significant time in architecture roles.
- Proven experience building:
- AI/LLM-based applications
- Cloud-native distributed systems
- Enterprise-scale platform components
- Strong hands-on skills in:
- Python, Node.js, or Java
- Cloud services (AWS )
- Kubernetes, microservices, API design
- Vector search engines and data stores
- Solid understanding of:
- Security & compliance frameworks
- Data architecture and ETL pipelines
- High-availability system design
Leadership Skills
- Demonstrated ability to own end-to-end engineering execution.
- Led engineering teams or cross-functional product squads.
- Ability to operate at strategic (CTO-level thinking) and tactical (hands-on engineering) levels.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:
- AI governance frameworks
- Enterprise integration patterns (APIs, events, internal knowledge systems)
- Multi-cloud architectures
- Background in platform engineering or building internal developer platforms.
- Open-source contributions or publications in AI/ML are a plus.
