Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Technical Hardware Support role based in Bengaluru. The role involves providing end-user support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and networking hardware, including troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of hardware issues. The Technical Hardware Support professional will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware devices, managing inventory, and coordinating repairs or replacements with vendors. Day-to-day tasks include responding to support tickets, performing preventive maintenance, documenting issues and solutions, and ensuring minimal downtime in learning and office environments. The role also includes collaborating with IT and operations teams to support technology-enabled learning setups and ensuring that all hardware systems are reliable, secure, and aligned with organizational needs.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in hardware troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of computing devices, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Working knowledge of basic networking hardware (routers, switches, access points) and related connectivity issues.
- Ability to manage hardware inventory, track assets, and coordinate with vendors for procurement and warranty support.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, or Linux) from a hardware support perspective.
- Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to support users with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Organized, detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, hardware support or IT support credentials) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in an educational technology, startup, or fast-paced environment is beneficial.
