About the Role

With 3–5 years under your belt, you’ve moved past simply operating gear—you’re now ready to design the systems, manage the vendors, and lead the crew that brings high-stakes events to life. From high-production corporate keynotes to large-scale experiential builds, you are the technical anchor of our team.
What You’ll Do
Technical Architecture & Fabrication: Translate creative concepts into technical realities. You’ll design signal flows, lighting plots, and oversee custom set fabrication and staging to ensure the physical build integrates perfectly with the tech
Sound Engineering & Design: Take ownership of the audio landscape. You will design and deploy sound systems tailored to specific venues, ensuring crystal-clear acoustics and managing complex audio routing for live and broadcast environments.
Project Leadership: Own the technical lifecycle of an event from initial site visit to final "strike". You’ll create and manage the Technical Run-of-Show (ROS), supervise scenic construction, and ensure every cue is hit.
Vendor & Resource Management: Source and vet AV and fabrication partners. You’ll review quotes, negotiate technical riders, and ensure we have the best equipment, materials, and talent for the budget.
On-Site Command: Lead the "load-in" and "strike," manage freelance crews (including carpenters and riggers), and act as the primary technical point of contact during live show execution.
Innovation: Keep us ahead of the curve. You’ll evaluate new event technologies (AI integrations, XR/VR, advanced projection mapping) to keep our productions cutting-edge.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on technical production experience in a live event, agency, or broadcast environment. ·
Sound Expertise & Proficiency:
Audio: Advanced knowledge of digital mixers and wireless frequency coordination.
Deep understanding of sound reinforcement, PA system tuning, and multi-track recording. ·
Technical Proficiency:
Video/Broadcast: Switchers (Barco/Blackmagic), vMix/OBS, and LED wall processing.
Lighting & Fabrication: Deep understanding of DMX programming, power distribution, and scenic construction materials/methods.
Software: Proficiency in Vectorworks, AutoCAD, or SketchUp for floor plans and 3D set renders.
Hybrid Expertise: Proven experience managing high-end virtual or hybrid events with complex streaming requirements. ·
The "Producer" Mindset: You can explain complex technical or structural limitations to non-technical stakeholders without losing the "wow" factor.
Agility: You remain calm in the "hot seat" and can troubleshoot signal failures or structural hurdles in real-time without breaking a sweat.
Bonus Points If You Have:
· CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or similar industry certifications.
· Experience with Dante audio networking.
· Knowledge of large-format printing and branding installation for event sets.
