Purpose of the Position (Job Summary)

To lead and drive innovation within the organization by overseeing the conception, planning, and execution of new projects and product initiatives, involves strategic thinking, market analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to bring novel and successful offerings to the market, ensuring the company stays competitive and adaptive in evolving industries.


Key Individual Accountabilities

Strategic

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for new project and product development aligned with COMPANY' business goals.
  • Identify and prioritize market opportunities, ensuring the development of products that meet current and future customer needs.
  • Establish and communicate a clear vision for the product portfolio, driving innovation and differentiation in the market.


Financial

  • Manage the budget for new projects and product development, optimizing resource allocation to achieve cost-effectiveness and profitability.
  • Evaluate the financial viability of proposed projects, providing accurate forecasts and cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making.


Customer/ External Orientation

  • Market research to understand customer preferences, industry trends, and competitive landscapes, incorporating insights into product development strategies.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal / external stakeholders, including suppliers & Business partners


People Orientation

  • Build and lead a high-performing cross-functional team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members, promoting their growth within the organization.


Core operational accountabilities

  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meeting quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as R&D, manufacturing, and marketing to facilitate seamless project execution.
  • Monitor and assess project risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.


Core Competencies

  • B-Tech with 8 – 10 Years of experience
  • Good Communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of software’s like AutoCAD and Solid works
  • Project Management / Team Handling / presentation Skill
  • Manufacturing Knowledge (Extrusion / Molding / casting / etc.)
