Technical Design & Estimation Engineer
Job Summary
We are looking for a Technical Design & Estimation Engineer who can analyze site drawings and prepare detailed execution plans for automation and electrical systems. The role involves studying site layouts, identifying system requirements, calculating materials and wiring needs, and preparing clear technical drawings and instructions for the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
* Study architectural/site drawings and understand project requirements.
* Identify and mark the placement of devices such as wireless systems, keypads, sensors, controllers, AC controls, and other automation components.
* Calculate wiring requirements, cable routing, load estimations, and material quantities.
* Prepare technical drawings and execution plans for engineers and installation teams.
* Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients for technical clarifications.
* Ensure all drawings and plans are accurate and feasible for on-site execution.
* Suggest suitable placements and orientations for devices such as AC units and automation controls.
* Maintain documentation related to project layouts, estimations, and revisions.
* Support the execution team during installation whenever technical guidance is required.
Skills Required
* Ability to read and understand architectural and electrical drawings.
* Basic knowledge of home automation, electrical systems, or ELV systems.
* Understanding of wiring layouts and material estimation.
* Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting software is preferred.
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Attention to detail and coordination skills.
Qualification
* Diploma / BE / BTech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, or related field.
* Freshers with good technical understanding can also apply.
Experience
* 0-3 years of experience in technical design, estimation, automation, or electrical planning preferred.
