Job Description – Technical Design Engineer (uPVC Windows & Doors)
Levels: Junior (4+ Years) / Senior (10+ Years)

Role Overview
We are hiring Technical Design Engineers (Junior & Senior levels) with hands-on experience in uPVC windows and doors systems. The role involves preparing accurate technical drawings, ensuring design feasibility, coordinating with internal teams, and supporting smooth project execution.
- Junior Engineers will focus on drawing preparation, BOQ support, and coordination
- Senior Engineers will lead design validation, project coordination, and team handling
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Drafting
- Prepare detailed shop drawings for uPVC windows and doors using AutoCAD
- Convert architectural drawings into fabrication-ready designs
- Ensure accuracy in dimensions, specifications, and technical details
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with sales, estimation, production, and installation teams
- Support site teams with technical clarifications and design adjustments
- Ensure timely submission of drawings and revisions
Technical & Estimation Support
- Prepare BOQs, cutting lists, and material estimations
- Optimize designs for cost efficiency and minimal wastage
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards
Role-Specific Responsibilities - Senior Engineers:
- Lead design approvals and validations
- Handle client discussions for technical feasibility
- Supervise and guide junior engineers
- Manage multiple projects and ensure timely delivery
- Junior Engineers:
- Assist in design preparation and revisions
- Maintain drawing documentation and records
- Support senior engineers in execution and coordination
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering
- Junior: 4+ years of experience in uPVC windows & doors design
- Senior: 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); familiarity with AutoCAD Architecture / AutoCAD LT or equivalent
- Experience with CAD/BIM tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD Architecture, SolidWorks) for coordination and producing fabrication details
- Familiarity with window & façade fabrication software such as LogiKal, AluWizard, or equivalent, and cutting-list/optimization tools (e.g., OptiNest, SigmaNest)
- Exposure to ERP and production management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Odoo, Tally) and shop-floor integration
- Experience with CNC programming/operation or familiarity with common fabrication equipment used in uPVC production
- Strong understanding of uPVC profiles, hardware, fabrication processes, and installation practices
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and translate them into fabrication-ready details
- Advanced Excel skills for BOQs, BOMs, estimation and reporting
- Good communication and coordination skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in residential/commercial projects (apartments, villas, etc.)
- Knowledge of estimation and costing with exposure to estimation software and tools
- Hands-on exposure to ERP or fabrication software (examples: LogiKal, SAP, Odoo) and familiarity with CNC/shop-floor automation
- BIM/Revit experience for coordination with architects, consultants and MEP teams
- Site coordination experience
- Familiarity with industry quality and compliance standards (e.g., relevant IS, ASTM, EN standards) is a plus
