Role description
As a Technical Delivery Manager, you will lead a high-performing team of 40–50 software engineers delivering complex solutions across a broad range of Microsoft technologies. You will be accountable for end-to-end delivery, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
You will partner closely with customer stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements, drive accurate estimations, and provide hands-on technical guidance and solutioning where required. You will define, manage, and optimize delivery plans, track execution progress, and continuously improve delivery outcomes through data-driven retrospectives and process improvements.
In this role, you will oversee resource planning and allocation, proactively manage delivery risks and dependencies, and lead customer communications and expectation management to ensure transparency and trust.
As a people leader, you will be responsible for team performance and growth, including regular performance feedback, coaching, proactive hiring, skills development, and effective bench and capacity management to support current and future delivery needs.
Experience & Leadership
- Proven experience leading large delivery teams (20+ engineers) as a services/vendor partner to Microsoft Product teams
- Demonstrated ability to operate within Microsoft vendor engagement models, including familiarity with vendor governance, compliance, and invoicing processes
- Strong capability to lead and motivate geographically distributed teams, managing delivery teams in India while collaborating closely with US time zone customer stakeholders
Technical & Delivery Expertise
Strong, up-to-date understanding of modern technology delivery, including:
- Microsoft Azure: deep knowledge of core services, architecture patterns, and cloud delivery best practices
- Azure DevOps: hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, work item tracking, dashboards, and delivery reporting
- AI technologies: working knowledge of Large and Small Language Models, and exposure to agentic AI systems and their application in enterprise solutions
Operational & Professional Skills
- Highly self-driven with excellent remote delivery management and prioritization skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams for executive communication, reporting, planning, and collaboration
- Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business and product stakeholders
