About the Role:
SemiX is looking for a Technical contributor – Power Semiconductor Devices & Applications to support the execution of research, training, and industry engagement activities in the power semiconductor domain. This is a coordination and logistics-focused role, ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in working at the intersection of technology and program management.
1. Program Coordination and Logistics Support
- Assist and coordinate research and training programs focused on power semiconductor devices (e.g., Si, SiC, GaN technologies) and power electronics field.
- Drive the development, review, and continuous improvement of courseware and training materials.
- Lead and contribute to drafting research proposals, with increasing ownership of end-to-end proposal development.
- Design and develop programs, perform semiconductor device and circuit simulations using tools like TCAD, conduct online and offline lab sessions for SemiX programs, and coordinate with TAs to ensure smooth program execution.
- Support research programs, drafting research proposals and compile reports focused on power semiconductor devices (e.g., Si, SiC, GaN technologies).
- Manage logistics for workshops, training sessions, and meetings (scheduling, communication, documentation, and follow-ups).
- Track program progress, maintain records, and support reporting activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of ongoing activities.
2. Stakeholder Coordination
- Support communication with industry and academic partners.
- Assist in managing company-specific research and training engagements.
- Assist in managing ongoing collaborations and engagements.
3. Content and Documentation Support
- Assist in compiling training materials, presentations, and reports.
- Support documentation of program outcomes, case studies, and summaries.
4. Marketing and Communication Support
- Coordinate with the communications team to share updates on programs and events.
- Help in collecting inputs and preparing basic content for outreach activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor/Master's or Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or related fields with a focus on semiconductors.
- For Bachelor's Degree: 4+ years of relevant experience.
- For Master's Degree: 2+ years of relevant experience.
- For Ph.D Degree: Fresh graduates or candidates with relevant experience.
- Basic understanding or interest in semiconductor devices or power electronics is preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Semiconductor device modeling and simulations (e.g., TCAD, process modeling).
- Semiconductor technology and materials processing (e.g., anneal, sputter, plasma, implantation, lithography).
- Familiarity with power semiconductor devices
Preferred Skills:
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Good communication (written and verbal).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
- Familiarity with MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Interest in working with technical teams and learning about power semiconductor technologies.
- Industry experience is preferred but not mandatory.
