Job.Description
The Technical Consultant is the core technical delivery expert responsible for configuring and implementing scalable PXM solutions aligned with client business requirements. This role focuses on technical solution design, data model configuration, integrations, import/export mappings and environment readiness to support successful project delivery. The Technical Consultant works closely with the core PXM Consulting team (Business Consultants, Project Managers) and client technical teams to ensure technical quality, performance and scalability across the implementation lifecycle.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Technical Solution Design & Architecture: Design and implement scalable PXM technical solutions aligned with approved business blueprints and best practices. Collaborate with Business Consultants and client stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical configurations and integration designs.
- Data Model & Configuration Management: Configure and maintain PXM data models, attributes, hierarchies, taxonomies, workflows and validation rules. Ensure solution configurations support scalability, governance and channel-specific product data requirements.
- Integration Design & Implementation: Design, configure and support integrations between PXM and external platforms including ERP, eCommerce, DAM, marketplaces and middleware systems. Define API structures, mapping specifications, transformation logic and data exchange processes.
- Import / Export Mapping & Data Migration: Lead technical activities related to bulk data migration, import/export templates, transformation rules and data validation. Configure and troubleshoot import/export jobs, ensuring data accuracy and completeness during implementation and go-live.
- Technical Testing & Troubleshooting: Support SIT, UAT and production validation activities by resolving technical defects, troubleshooting configuration issues and validating integration performance. Ensure all technical deliverables meet quality standards and implementation timelines.
- Documentation & Technical Governance: Prepare and maintain technical design documents, integration specifications, mapping documents and configuration guides. Ensure all technical documentation is aligned with delivery standards and reusable best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Business Consultants, partners and client technical teams to ensure smooth implementation execution, proactive issue resolution and alignment with project milestones.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Strong PXM Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience configuring PXM/PIM solutions including data models, workflows, business rules, syndication and product hierarchies. Ability to independently execute technical configurations and troubleshoot complex solution issues.
- Integration & API Knowledge: Strong understanding of REST APIs, middleware platforms, integration patterns and data exchange mechanisms. Experience integrating enterprise systems such as ERP, DAM, eCommerce and marketplace platforms.
- Data Mapping & Transformation Skills: Experience designing import/export mappings, transformation logic and migration processes for large-scale product data implementations. Strong understanding of CSV/XML/JSON-based integrations and data validation approaches.
- Technical Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical configuration, integration and performance issues across multiple environments. Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- eCommerce Ecosystem Expertise: Proven experience with platforms such as Shopify, Magento and Salesforce Commerce Cloud, with a strong grasp of underlying data models and API integrations.
- Delivery & Collaboration: Ability to manage priorities in fast-paced implementation environments while collaborating effectively across global consulting and delivery teams.
