Role Description The Technical Assistance role is a full-time, on-site position based in Asansol. The role involves providing day-to-day technical support to operations, assisting in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to equipment, processes, or systems. The team member will perform routine maintenance checks, report faults, and coordinate with senior staff or engineers to ensure smooth and safe functioning of industrial activities. Responsibilities include documenting issues, maintaining service records, communicating clearly with colleagues and supervisors, and following established safety and operational procedures. The role may also involve assisting in small repairs, monitoring performance indicators, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the plant environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Technical Assistance and Technical Support skills for equipment and process-related issues.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for clear interaction with team members, supervisors, and client representatives.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to identify problems, interpret data, and suggest practical solutions.
- Candidates should possess Maintenance skills for conducting routine checks, basic repairs, and preventive care of tools and equipment.
- Relevant technical diploma or certification (e.g., in mechanical, electrical, or industrial disciplines) is preferred.
- Experience in steel or heavy industry environments is an advantage.
- Ability to follow safety protocols, work in on-site industrial settings, and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation and reporting is beneficial.
