Job Title: Technical Architect
Location - Pune
Experience required - 15+ years relevant
We are looking for a battle-hardened BFS architect with 15–20 years of experience who can walk into a room with a client CTO and earn trust through judgement — not just credentials.
Engagement Context
This is a high-visibility, client-facing role on complex BFS programes across payments, capital markets, retail banking, and wealth management. The successful hire will be the primary technical authority on major client engagements and is expected to drive a measurable reduction in architecture-driven escalations within 12 months.
Must-Have Criteria (Non-Negotiable)
Minimum 7 years in Banking & Financial Services — payments, capital markets, retail banking, custody, or insurance
Must have worked across at least two major stacks (e.g. Java/JVM + .NET, or .NET + cloud-native Python). Stack religion is a disqualifier.
- Senior Stakeholder Engagement
Proven direct engagement with client CTOs, CIOs, or Enterprise Architects at Tier-1 or Tier-2 financial institutions
- Consulting or Advisory Background
Experience in IT services, consulting, or advisory firm preferred. Pure product-house candidates evaluated carefully.
- AI Architecture Awareness
Must demonstrate awareness of Agentic AI, LLM integration patterns, and AI governance in regulated financial environments
Must be able to lead executive architecture conversations confidently in English
Experience Range
Target: 15–20 years overall. Minimum 7 years in senior architecture roles. Flexible on the upper end for exceptional candidates with strong consulting and client-facing credentials.
Must-Reject Criteria (Disqualifiers)
- Single-stack architect who has only worked in Java or only in .NET throughout their career
- Architecture experience limited to internal IT or product engineering with no client-facing consulting exposure
- Cannot articulate trade-offs between competing architectural approaches — relies on a single preferred pattern
- No awareness of key BFS regulatory frameworks: DORA, Basel IV, BCBS 239, PCI DSS, GDPR
- Has never presented architecture to a CTO, CIO, or EA-level client stakeholder
- Resistant to hands-on involvement — believes architecture ends at the diagram
