Roles and Responsibilities:
- Backend development & architecture: Design, build, and optimize scalable enterprise backend applications using FastAPI and modern Python practices.
- API engineering: Develop REST API services with comprehensive OpenAPI/Swagger documentation and versioning strategies.
- Performance & reliability: Implement async, high-performance services for concurrent requests with strong error handling and retry logic.
- Cloud deployment: Deploy and manage production applications on GCP and Azure, ensuring robustness, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Security & governance: Implement enterprise-grade security patterns, including authentication/authorization and AI-specific safety controls for production reliability and compliance.
- GenAI & multi-agent systems: Lead the orchestration of multi-agent Gen AI and Agentic AI workflows, including agent design for complex business logic such as translation, quality checking, and optimization.
- Enterprise application delivery: Translate product and business requirements into scalable backend systems, partnering with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, data architects, and data engineers.
- Collaboration & leadership: Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and communicate technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Optional architecture enhancement: Where applicable, contribute to micro services design with clear separation of concerns and maintainable integration patterns.
Skills Required:
- 8-12 years of experience in backend development with strong expertise in Python
- Proven experience building scalable backend systems using FastAPI and modern Python frameworks
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs with proper documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger)
- Experience working with Gen AI and Agentic AI-based applications or workflows
- Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, performance optimization, and system reliability
- Experience implementing secure, production-grade applications with authentication and authorization
- Strong knowledge of system design, distributed systems, and scalable architectures
- Experience mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
