Global Spares Supply (GSS) provides all the spares, tools and field support that are needed to perform maintenance that exceeds our customers' expectations. Cost-effectively and on time.
- Quality spare parts for elevators, escalators and automatic building doors
- KONE parts, commercial parts, strategic parts, competitor parts (non-KONE)
- Tools, personal protective equipment (PPE) and working clothes
- Why this role?
We are seeking this role to provide technical assistance to field teams and support the lifecycle of elevator, escalator, and building door products. This role combines hands-on technical knowledge with digital tools and data management to drive efficiency, ensure material data quality, and deliver high-quality spare technical solutions across global operations.
- What will you be doing?
- Provide spares technical support to service technicians/frontlines.
- Mentor and guide team members to enhance their technical skills and productivity
- Identify risks and create strategies for effective mitigation.
- To generate new ideas for process developments
- Enhance automation through tools like MS Excel Macros, Power BI, SQL, and RPA
- Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SAP, PDM/PLM systems, and BOM interpretation
- Familiarity with elevator, escalator and building door products
- Address technical challenges and roadblocks with innovative solutions
- Understanding of supply chain, material, and master data processes.
- Stakeholder collaboration
- Capable of aligning technical solutions with business goals
- Preferred Skills:
- Design skills using Creo, AutoCAD, or ProgeCAD
- Process automation tools: MS Excel Macros, SQL, Power BI, RPA
- Six Sigma methodology for quality/process improvement
- Installation and commissioning field experience
- Adobe tools and experience in digital documentation.
- Are you the one?
- BE in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering
- Over 10 years of experience in technical support, product lifecycle, and field service operations
- Proactive, innovative thinker with excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Comfortable working across cultures and time zones in a virtual environment
