The Role:
We’re looking for a Tech Lead who is genuinely hands-on — someone who will write production code every day and also own technical decisions for the product. This is not a management role with occasional coding. This is a builder role with leadership responsibility.
You will be the person who decides how we architect our systems, which libraries we use, how we structure the codebase, and how we execute sprints. You’ll work directly with the founders on product direction and translate product thinking into engineering reality.
What You'll Do:
• Design and build the core AI application stack— backend APIs, data pipelines, and integrations
• Make and own key technical architecture decisions: frameworks, infra, data stores, deployment strategy
• Collaborate directly with founders on tech decisions and product requirements, translating them into technical specs
• Set engineering standards: code quality, documentation, testing practices, deployment workflows
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML components where relevant — APIs, vector search, LLM orchestration (structure is already ready)
• Ship working software, fast — MVP mindset, but with an eye for long-term scalability
What we are looking for:
• 3–4 years of strong backend or full-stack engineering experience
• Demonstrated ability to make architecture decisions independently, not just execute on someone else’s design
• Experience shipping products end-to-end, ideally in a startup or small team setting
