About the RoleWe are looking for interns interested in AI, journalism, and public relations.
This role focuses on:
- Understanding what’s happening in the AI ecosystem
- Tracking conversations across platforms
- Connecting with relevant people
- Supporting outreach, collaborations, and visibility
You will spend a significant amount of time researching, observing, and engaging with people in the AI and tech space.
Key Responsibilities1. Research & Ecosystem Tracking- Explore and track AI-related developments across:
- TechCrunch
- X (Twitter)
- LinkedIn
- Follow:
- AI startups and product launches
- Founders, engineers, and researchers
- Policy discussions and trends
- Maintain structured notes on key updates
2. Identifying People & Building Lists- Create and maintain a database of:
- AI founders
- Developers and researchers
- Tech journalists and writers
- Industry operators
- Categorize contacts based on relevance
3. Outreach & Relationship Building- Reach out via:
- LinkedIn
- Email
- Introduce the Centre and its work
- Invite people to:
- Collaborate
- Contribute to content
- Engage with initiatives
- Follow up and manage conversations
4. Journalism & Content Collaboration- Support creation of:
- Articles
- Opinion pieces
- Interviews
- Work with contributors to gather inputs
- Assist in shaping content around AI topics
5. PR & Media Support- Assist in:
- Coordinating with journalists and contributors
- Managing communication threads
- Supporting basic PR activities
6. Content Distribution & Amplification- Share and distribute content on:
- LinkedIn
- X
- Ensure relevant people are aware of our work
- Support visibility and engagement
7. Tracking & Reporting- Maintain a tracker of:
- Outreach done
- Responses received
- Collaborations initiated
- Share regular progress updates
Eligibility (Mandatory)Only candidates from the following backgrounds should apply:
- BTech
- BCA
- Journalism / Mass Communication
Skills Required- Strong written and verbal communication
- Interest in AI, technology, or startups
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, X, and online research
- Ability to do consistent outreach
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Willingness to learn and take ownership
