About the role
The Junior IT PMO plays a critical role in supporting the effective governance and performance management of our project portfolio, programmes, and projects. This position is responsible for ensuring that project management documentation, reports, and plans are accurate and complete. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication and administrative skills, and demonstrate a strong understanding of project management methodologies and lifecycle processes.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain and update project management documentation, reports, and plans ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Track and report on project portfolio performance, providing a real-time, comprehensive, and prioritized view of all projects.
Project Coordination:
Coordinate information flow and project reporting across teams.
Attend project scoping, requirements, and lessons learnt workshops to capture action points and ensure follow-up on decisions and actions.
Administration Support:
Assist with all Programme/Project management administrative tasks, including archiving project/programme files.
Support Programme/Project Managers with onboarding new staff members by ensuring timely access to necessary resources and documentation.
Meeting Support:
Take minutes at meetings, capturing decisions, actions, and RAIDs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies).
Update PMO systems (e.g., SharePoint, PPM tool) accordingly to reflect the latest project data and decisions.
Team Communication:
Actively contribute to team meetings and support the flow of communication within the team, ensuring all stakeholders are informed.
Required Knowledge
Microsoft Office Suite:
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft Project (MPP).
Project Management:
Awareness and understanding of general Project Management principles, methodologies, and project lifecycles.

Strong organizational skills with a methodical approach, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Technical Aptitude:
Proficiency with Microsoft packages and general IT tools is essential.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or any relevant generic discipline.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a PMO or project support role, preferably within an IT environment.
Demonstrated ability to take responsibility and use initiative in a dynamic work setting.
