Role Description

This on-site, contract role for a Tech Commercial Officer is based in Golaghat, Assam. The Tech Commercial Officer will be responsible for bridging AI capabilities with commercial domain knowledge in procurement to help conceptualize, design, and implement an AI-based commercial tendering system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with commercial/procurement teams to understand existing workflows and challenges
• Identify AI/ML interventions to automate procurement decision-making, bid evaluation, vendor scoring, and risk analysis
• Support in developing functional specifications for an AI-powered procurement platform
• Work with developers and domain teams in prototyping, training models, and validating AI outputs
• Analyze large volumes of historical tendering/procurement data to train AI systems
• Drive change management and user adoption in the commercial division

Educational Qualification & Work Experience:

•  B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science / AI / Data Science / Engineering with compulsory prior experience/exposure in procurement, commercial functions, public tendering, or ERP systems in a PSU/corporate environment.

(Candidates with additional qualifications in Business, Procurement, or Supply Chain preferred)

Technical Skills:

• AI/ML Model Development (Classification, NLP, Recommendation Engines, etc.)
• Familiarity with tools like Python, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Power BI
• Understanding of procurement lifecycle and contract management systems
