Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Teamcenter Rapid Author Consultant with strong expertise in
Teamcenter Rapid Author modules to support technical documentation, service content creation, and digital publishing processes.
The candidate will work on
Rapid Author tools such as Rapid Manual, Rapid Text, and Rapid Catalog, while also supporting other Rapid Author components including
Rapid Illustrator, Rapid Learning, Rapid Administrator, and Rapid Generator.
The role involves creating and managing
interactive technical documentation, service manuals, illustrated parts catalogs (IPC), and structured content integrated with
Teamcenter PLM.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain technical documentation using Teamcenter Rapid Author tools.
- Create and manage service manuals and structured documentation using Rapid Manual.
- Author structured technical content using Rapid Text.
- Generate illustrated parts catalogs and service parts documentation using Rapid Catalog.
- Create technical illustrations and graphical content using Rapid Illustrator.
- Support development of interactive training content using Rapid Learning.
- Configure and maintain Rapid Author environment using Rapid Administrator.
- Generate automated technical publications and outputs using Rapid Generator.
- Integrate technical publications with Teamcenter PLM environment.
- Work with engineering and product teams to extract product data from EBOM/MBOM structures.
- Ensure documentation compliance with technical publishing standards such as S1000D or similar frameworks.
- Support publishing outputs such as IETM (Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals), service documentation, and parts catalogs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and service teams.
- Ensure documentation accuracy, consistency, and version control within Teamcenter.
Mandatory Skills - Strong experience in Teamcenter Rapid Author tools.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Rapid Manual
- Rapid Text
- Rapid Catalog
- Experience working with Teamcenter 2412 version (or similar versions).
- Knowledge of technical documentation and service publishing workflows.
- Experience creating illustrated parts catalogs (IPC) and service manuals.
- Understanding of BOM structures (EBOM / MBOM) in Teamcenter.
- Experience with technical illustrations and documentation standards.
