Job details:
- Review basic and detailed engineering designs from a safety and statutory compliance perspective.
- Participate in risk assessments, HAZID/HAZOP studies, and safety design reviews.
- Ensure safety compliance during installation and commissioning activities.
- Monitor high-risk activities such as hot work, electrical work, work at height, and confined space entry.
- Implement and monitor permit-to-work systems.
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and routine safety inspections.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of toxic and flammable chemicals like xylene, paints, and solvents.
- Develop and implement SOPs, emergency response plans, and safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with GPCB, Factory Inspectorate, Fire Department, and other statutory bodies.
- Maintain statutory registers, records, licenses, and legal documentation.
- Drive continuous safety improvement initiatives.
- Lead and guide a small team of safety personnel post project commissioning.
