Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance on all instrumentation and control equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to field instruments, control valves, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, and DCS (Distributed Control Systems).
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies to minimize production interruptions.
- Calibration & Compliance:
- Conduct regular calibration and validation of instruments (flow, pressure, temperature, level transmitters, belt weigh feeders, load cells, etc.) to maintain accuracy and comply with ISO standards and industry regulations.
- Ensure all safety protocols and statutory norms are followed during maintenance and operations.
- Operations & Coordination:
- Monitor instrument outputs and process parameters to ensure healthy operating conditions.
- Coordinate with the process shift in-charge and other departments (Mechanical, Electrical, Production) to execute jobs effectively.
- Supervise and guide shift technicians, managing manpower allocation and work permits.
Documentation & Improvement
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, calibration logs, and equipment history cards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports and assist in preparing the annual budget for spares.
- Assist in developing and implementing improvement activities and process optimization initiatives (e.g., WCM tools, root cause analysis).
- Manage the availability of frequently used spares and raise purchase requisitions as needed.
