Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi for a Team Leader in the Study Abroad Counselling department. The Team Leader will oversee a team of study abroad counselors and ensure high-quality guidance is provided to students. Key responsibilities include mentoring team members, conducting student-interaction sessions, solving complex queries, organizing workshops and seminars, coordinating with partner institutions, and devising strategies to meet organizational goals. The role requires adherence to company guidelines and maintaining a collaborative work environment to support the success of both the team and students.
Qualifications
- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a diverse team effectively
- Interpersonal communication, relationship-building, and counseling skills to engage students and parents
- Problem-solving and decision-making competencies to handle complex student queries and concerns
- Knowledge of study abroad programs, visa processes, and admissions procedures for key countries like the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia
- Proficiency in organizational tools and software to track team performance and student progress
- Strong work ethics, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- A bachelor’s degree in any relevant field is required; advanced certifications in counseling or education are a plus
- Prior experience in a similar role or in the education consultancy industry is highly advantageous
