Company Description
Aureate Labs specializes in delivering customer-focused digital commerce experiences for global brands through a Headless Commerce approach. With over a decade of experience, we have launched more than 300 eCommerce stores, focusing on enhanced customer experiences, faster speeds, and higher conversions. We pride ourselves on driving innovation, including the development of open-source PWA frontends for leading eCommerce platforms. As advocates for the community, we organize PWA meetups and webinars to empower professionals worldwide.
Role Description
As a Team Leader for Shopify, you will own the end-to-end delivery of eCommerce projects while mentoring and guiding a cross-functional team of developers, designers, and QA engineers. You will be the primary bridge between clients and the technical team — translating business requirements into scalable Shopify solutions, driving project execution, and ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery.
Qualifications
- Lead and mentor a team of Shopify developers, designers, and QA engineers, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
- Understand client requirements and provide logical, scalable Shopify solutions — no coding required, but a strong platform understanding is expected.
- Translate business needs into structured documentation, user stories, and actionable development tasks.
- Own project planning, sprint execution, review cycles, client demos, and go-live coordination.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, delivery reviews, and retrospectives to continuously improve team processes.
- Coordinate integrations including payment gateways, shipping setup, tax configurations, and third-party tools.
- Ensure robust QA processes and smooth launch delivery across all projects.
- Understand platform differences (e.g., Shopify vs Shopify Plus) and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Serve as an escalation point for project blockers, client concerns, and technical decisions.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously and perform effectively under pressure.
- Deliver regular project status updates to clients — written summaries, progress reports, and sprint review presentations — keeping stakeholders informed at every stage.
- Manage client expectations proactively: flag risks early, communicate changes transparently, and ensure clients always know where the project stands.
- Handle client escalations with professionalism — own the issue, coordinate internal resolution, and close the loop with the client promptly.
