Role Purpose
Responsible for the systems administration of Global Finance Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems and applications used for Group internal and external reporting (Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Hyperion Planning, Longview, Financial Reporting).
Key Accountabilities
- Provide technical support and expertise for Hyperion Essbase financial & non-financial applications.
- Provide production support for the HFM and Hyperion Planning applications.
- Lead team members in assigned processes in accordance with Service Level Agreements, completion of assignments, schedules and resolve issues.
- Monitor team workflow for accuracy, timeliness and completion.
- Coach and develop team members. Act as an advisor to help meet established schedules and/or resolve technical or operational problems.
- Provide global support for the routine month end close, monthly forecasting cycles and hotel budgets, including creation and maintenance of regional month end calc scripts; creation, maintenance and execution of report scripts; and day-to-day troubleshooting.
- Responsible for global end user security set-up.
- Primary contact for the Essbase security audits requests from external auditors.
- Responsible for monthly HFM data loads and account mapping changes in FDM.
- Responsible for monthly Planning outline and account mapping changes. Assist with month-end loads and troubleshooting.
- Performance monitoring for the Hyperion Essbase and Hyperion Planning applications.
- Create/maintain/troubleshoot business rules, calc scripts, load rules, UNIX shell scripts.
- Involvement in non-funded projects to enhance existing production applications.
- Work closely with Manager to transition any additional production support tasks to New Delhi Office.
- Assist in new project requirements. Participate in testing, implementation in QA environment & migration of new processes to production. Review existing process & new process for automation.
- Assist in the testing and migration to production of software upgrades.
- Provide technical/production support expertise in new systems that are developed and participate in structured walkthroughs and technical reviews.
- Ensure documentation of Essbase configuration and close processes. Assist with maintaining documentation for any HFM and Hyperion Planning processes.
- Work with Application, Development and Integration (ADI) and Technical Operations teams to ensure the current Enterprise Performance Management systems are performing efficiently.
- Coach and develop team members; hire, fire, assess, discipline, and document performance. Act as an advisor to subordinate staff to help meet established schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
- Developing & Maintaining Process Documents for all activities.
- Recommend process improvements along with implementation after consulting regional teams.
Key Skills & Experiences
Education
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
Experience
- 5+ years progressive work related experience in systems administration and programming with demonstrated mastery of technical and business knowledge and understanding of multiple discipline/processes related to the position.
- Experience working in a global environment, ability to work in a fast paced environment, geographic & cultural awareness.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrated knowledge of related software architectures and development methodologies
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of structured analysis and technical design techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in leading, motivating and developing people. Demonstrated experience in resource management and team performance management.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills working towards a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs
