This role is designed for an experienced operations professional ready to lead high-performing teams within the title and settlement services domain. You will oversee end-to-end workflows, ensuring seamless execution across pre-closing, closing, and post-closing activities while maintaining strict compliance and quality standards. With a strong focus on operational excellence, you will drive process optimization, improve turnaround times, and elevate customer satisfaction. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including compliance, underwriting, and technology, to ensure efficient and compliant service delivery. You will play a key role in mentoring teams, managing escalations, and implementing scalable solutions. This is a fast-paced, high-impact environment where leadership, precision, and continuous improvement are essential.
Accountabilities
In this role, you will lead daily operations across settlement services, ensuring high-quality delivery, process efficiency, and strong team performance while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
- Oversee end-to-end operations across pre-closing, closing, funding, recording, and post-closing functions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
- Monitor and manage SLAs, turnaround times, productivity, and quality metrics to drive operational excellence
- Implement standardized workflows and controls aligned with regulatory and industry best practices
- Identify process inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and customer experience
- Manage escalations involving clients, lenders, underwriters, and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution
- Lead, coach, and develop team members, setting clear goals and driving accountability for results
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational priorities and improve service delivery
- Maintain documentation including SOPs, training materials, and operational playbooks to support consistency and scalability
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support audit readiness and risk mitigation initiatives
Requirements
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented operations leader with strong expertise in settlement services, team management, and process optimization in a fast-paced environment.
- 5+ years of experience in title, escrow, or settlement services operations
- 2+ years of experience in a team lead or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of title search, examination, curative processes, and closing/escrow procedures
- Understanding of title insurance fundamentals, ALTA best practices, and regulatory requirements such as RESPA
- Proven experience managing operational workflows, SLAs, and performance metrics
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach and develop teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across internal and external partners
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive data-informed decisions
- Experience with settlement systems (e.g., Resware, Qualia, or similar platforms)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
