Team Lead – Sales (Online Degree Programs)
As a Team Lead for Online Degree Programs, your primary objective is to drive revenue by leading a high-performing sales team. You will be responsible for converting interest into enrollments for UG and PG programs (such as MBA, MCA, BBA, and BCA) while ensuring your team maintains the highest standards of student counseling and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management & Performance:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Sales Executives/Counselors to achieve monthly and quarterly enrollment targets.
- Monitor daily calling activities, lead-to-conversion ratios, and overall pipeline health.
- Conduct regular feedback sessions and "mock calls" to improve the team's pitch and objection-handling skills.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Oversee the end-to-end sales funnel, from lead allocation to final fee payment.
- Develop strategies to re-engage cold leads and maximize the ROI on marketing-generated leads.
- Ensure accurate data management within the CRM to track team productivity and student journeys.
Academic & Product Counseling:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on various online degree offerings, including curriculum details, eligibility criteria, and career outcomes.
- Assist team members in closing high-value or complex leads by participating in three-way calls or final negotiations.
- Stay updated on University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines and industry trends in the EdTech space.
Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure all counselors provide transparent and ethical information to prospective students.
- Audit calls to ensure brand guidelines and compliance standards are strictly followed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 3–6 years in EdTech sales, specifically within the Higher Education or Online Degree sector (MBA/MCA focus preferred).
- Leadership: Proven track record of managing a team of at least 5–10 sales professionals.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret sales data and CRM reports to make informed tactical decisions.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA or PGDM is highly preferred.
Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Direct Revenue Target: Achievement of the assigned team enrollment quota.
- Conversion Rate: Improvement in the Lead-to-Admission percentage.
- Team Retention: Maintaining a motivated and stable sales force.
- Lead Turnaround Time (TAT): Ensuring the team connects with new leads within the stipulated timeframe.
