Role Summary
The Team lead – Production Support responsible for leading all outsourced operations, developing new outsourcing capabilities, identifying strategic external partners, and driving innovation in outsourced processes. The role ensures that all external manufacturing or service partners meet quality, cost, delivery, safety, sustainability while supporting new business developments and future-ready outsourcing models.
Key Responsibilities
Outsourcing Operations & New Developments in Outsourcing Management
- Manage and monitor day-to-day outsourced production and service operations.
- Ensure vendors meet Quality, Cost, Delivery (QCD) KPIs.
- Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and Quality to ensure smooth execution.
- Monitor vendor performance, capacity utilization, and delivery adherence.
- Along with Production and Industrial team, Identify and evaluate new external capabilities for future business needs.
- Lead trials, pilot runs, and validation at supplier facilities for new developments.
- Identify risks related to capacity, quality, geopolitical issues, logistics.
- Manage and develop a team of outsourcing coordinators, vendor managers, and analysts.
- Arrange for training on new outsourcing trends and capability development.
- Foster strong cross-functional alignment across internal departments.
- Work with QA/QC teams to resolve non-conformities and drive corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Quality team to Conduct supplier capability assessments and periodic audits.
- Coordinate with Supply chain team to Strengthen partnerships through continuous review, improvement plans, and strategic collaboration.
Use Your Skills To Move The World Forward
- You should be a graduate/post graduate degree in logistics, supply chain management or Engineering in Electronics and Communication or electrical with 10 + years of experience.
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the electronic product industry
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations, with a focus on electronic components and materials.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Hands on experience with SAP PP/MM Module and databases is mandatory.
- Detail oriented, ability to prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make informed decisions quickly.
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is desirable.
Competencies (Technical/Functional )
- Prefer basic understanding of business economics.
- Proficient Computer skills understanding of ERP ( SAP) systems.
- Moderate skills in using Microsoft Office products.
