Job Description: Senior Analyst, FIU
Background
The Senior Analyst, FIU position serves as a linchpin in safeguarding the integrity of the organization's operations and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This pivotal role requires a unique blend of aml expertise, regulatory expertise, analytical skills, and strategic thinking to effectively manage compliance risks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
What You'll Be Doing
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth reviews of high-risk customers and high-risk transactions to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
- Prepare and file SARs/STRs in accordance with applicable requirements and deadlines.
- Review and analyze alerts generated by the post-transaction monitoring system to identify potentially suspicious activity.
- Utilize various tools and systems to monitor and analyze transactions for potential suspicious activity.
- Lead investigations into suspicious activity, including gathering and analyzing evidence, conducting interviews, and preparing case files.
- Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF).
- Share industry best practices and regulatory updates with relevant stakeholders to enhance the compliance function’s effectiveness.
- Assist in the implementation of system enhancements or policy updates impacting FIU operations.
- Miscellaneous projects or duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CAMS - Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) may be preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), and other financial crime regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, FATF recommendations, and relevant international standards.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a compliance role within the financial services industry, with a focus on AML, CTF, or regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements and findings to various stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in using compliance tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Administrative — Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records in a database, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Technology— Ability to learn Corpay’s systems and software. Use of proprietary database products, CRM software (Salesforce), Sanctions Screening software (LexisNexis), Transaction Monitoring software (NetReveal), etc.
