Role Description
IDS is looking for two experienced and driven Team Lead – Building Performance Analysis to join our growing Sustainability / Building Performance team. This role is ideal for professionals skilled in energy modeling, data-driven design, and sustainable building practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with the project client team (developers, builders, architects) for activity planning, delivery of outputs and coordination of training workshops
- Lead and coordinate with the project team members for delivery of the work as per the plan developed with the clients and IDS senior management
- Develop and refine building energy models using DesignBuilder, Rhino-Grasshopper, EnergyPlus
- Analyze thermal comfort, HVAC loads, and passive strategies
- Support ECBC, ENS, LEED, EDGE, and IGBC or other certification documentation
- Conduct simulations and parametric studies for early design support
- Present actionable insights in the form of presentations and reports
- Lead training workshops and mentor junior analysts
- Automate workflows using Python, Grasshopper scripting, or APIs
Qualifications
· Minimum Postgraduate Degree in Building Science, Architecture, or related fields
· Preferrable: ECBC Master Trainer, BEE Empaneled ECBC Professional, Accredited Green Building Professional
· Minimum Software Proficiency: DesignBuilder or Rhino/Grasshopper with EnergyPlus
· Preferrable Software Skills: ENVIMET, Python Programming.
