We are looking for a highly driven, disciplined, and experienced Team Leader – US Accounting who can lead accounting operations with ownership, accuracy, and accountability. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in US Accounting processes, team handling, client communication, productivity management, and quality control.
This role requires a professional who can manage deadlines, maintain team discipline, ensure high-quality deliverables, and build a performance-oriented work culture.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Management & Leadership
- Lead, manage, and supervise a team of US Accounting professionals.
- Monitor daily productivity, attendance, discipline, and performance of team members.
- Conduct regular team reviews, feedback sessions, and performance discussions.
- Mentor and train team members on accounting processes, communication, and quality standards.
- Maintain a professional, target-oriented, and accountable team environment.
- Handle escalations, conflict resolution, and operational challenges effectively.
Accounting Operations
- Review and manage:
- Bookkeeping
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Bank Reconciliation
- General Ledger (GL)
- Financial Reporting
- Month-End Closing
- Ensure accuracy and timely completion of accounting tasks.
- Maintain high-quality standards and minimize errors/rework.
- Ensure compliance with US Accounting standards and company processes.
Client Management
- Handle communication with US clients professionally.
- Understand client requirements and ensure proper execution by the team.
- Maintain strong client relationships through timely and accurate deliverables.
- Provide operational updates and reports to management and clients when required.
Process & Performance Management
- Track KPIs, SLAs, productivity, and quality metrics.
- Prepare MIS reports and performance summaries.
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements for better efficiency.
- Ensure deadlines are met consistently without compromising quality.
- Support hiring, interviews, onboarding, and team expansion activities.
Required SkillsTechnical Skills
- Strong knowledge of US Accounting and bookkeeping.
- Good understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Hands-on experience with:
- QuickBooks
- Xero
- Strong command of MS Excel:
- Data Analysis
- MIS Reporting

- Excellent Team handling and people management abilities.

Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- 4+ years of experience in US Accounting.
- Prior Team Leader/Accountant Experienced Preferred
- Experience in handling teams and client communication is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in US domain.
- Experience in KPI monitoring and performance management.
- Knowledge of process improvement and quality control systems.
- Prior experience in BPO/KPO/Accounting outsourcing industry preferred.
