Silkman Infotech is looking for a driven and experienced Team Leader to oversee Sales and Order Vendor Management operations for a USA-based luxury jewelry e-commerce platform. This role combines team leadership, sales operations, customer experience, and vendor coordination within the fine jewelry and diamond industry.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and the ability to manage fast-paced e-commerce workflows while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead and manage the Sales and Order Management team to achieve sales, fulfillment, and customer service goals
- Conduct regular training, performance reviews, and coaching sessions
- Develop and improve operational workflows, SOPs, and team processes
- Manage shift schedules and ensure smooth daily operations
Sales & Customer Experience
- Monitor sales pipeline performance and conversion metrics
- Oversee order confirmations, payment verification, and post-sales coordination
- Handle escalated customer inquiries, customization requests, and order-related concerns
- Ensure a high standard of customer satisfaction throughout the sales journey
Vendor & Order Management
- Manage relationships with jewelry manufacturers, suppliers, and raw material vendors
- Coordinate end-to-end order fulfillment from vendor assignment through final dispatch
- Negotiate pricing, production timelines, and vendor terms
- Monitor vendor performance, delivery timelines, and quality standards
- Coordinate inventory availability and replenishment planning
Reporting & Process Improvement
- Generate reports on sales performance, operational metrics, and vendor efficiency
- Analyze data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
- Work closely with internal technology and operations teams to optimize systems and workflows
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Business, Management, Marketing, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in team leadership, sales operations, customer service, or e-commerce operations
- Preferably prior experience in the jewelry and diamond industry
- Strong understanding of jewelry production, diamond certification standards, and vendor coordination is a plus +
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with CRM and ERP platforms such as Odoo
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred
- Experience in luxury retail or fashion e-commerce
- Familiarity with diamond and gemstone grading/certification standards
- Proven success in improving operational efficiency and driving sales growth
