We’re Hiring | Team Lead – Analytical R&D
We are looking for an experienced Team Lead – Analytical R&D to drive excellence in analytical method development and lead a high-performing team of scientists. This role will play a critical part in supporting process development and manufacturing through robust analytical solutions.
Role Overview: The incumbent will lead a team of analytical chemists and researchers, ensuring the development, validation, and implementation of analytical methods. The role involves managing day-to-day lab operations, delivering projects on time and within budget, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- M.Sc / Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field
- M.Sc with 10+ years
- Ph.D. with 4+ years in Analytical R&D
- Prior experience in the CRO industry is mandatory
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic
- Collaborate with the Group Leader to align analytical activities with business objectives
- Drive innovation in method development and validation approaches
- Identify process improvements and recommend advanced technologies to enhance analytical capabilities
Operational
- Optimize equipment utilization to improve lab efficiency and throughput
- Ensure compliance with GLP, regulatory standards, and lab safety practices
- Oversee day-to-day activities of scientists in method development, validation, and testing
- Ensure timely and accurate generation of analytical data for development and regulatory submissions
- Track project timelines and ensure high-quality deliverables
- Maintain robust documentation practices, including reports, raw data, and validation protocols
Financial
- Implement cost-effective analytical strategies (HPLC, GC, etc.) to improve turnaround time
- Support cost estimation for new projects and proposals
- Develop and maintain SOPs for analytical R&D activities
- Oversee maintenance and performance of analytical instruments
People Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of analytical scientists and researchers
- Drive effective planning, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration
- Review and interpret analytical data to guide decision-making and project direction
