Role Description The Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the overall financial strategy and management across the institution and its related entities. The CFO will oversee budgeting, long-term financial planning, cash flow management, and capital allocation to support institutional goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. The role involves guiding finance teams, establishing internal controls, managing risk, and providing data-driven insights to support leadership decisions. The CFO will collaborate with academic and administrative leaders, liaise with external auditors and financial partners, and contribute to strategic initiatives, investments, and resource optimization.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Financial Planning and Finance skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic resource allocation.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with experience in preparing, reviewing, and presenting reports to senior leadership.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, assess risk, and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certifications such as CA, CPA, CMA, or CFA are highly beneficial.
- Progressive leadership experience in corporate or institutional finance, preferably in education or large multi-entity organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage remote teams, implement robust financial controls, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external partners.
