Summary:

Responsible for all aspects of loan servicing, including but not limited to payment posting, assisting with the research and resolution of member issues regarding their accounts, escrow account processing, payoff requests, investor portfolio reconciliation, processing incoming mail deliveries from branches, posting disability, GAP and Credit Life payments received from CUNA Mutual Insurance and ensuring liens are properly filed and released. Responsible for providing technical assistance, guidance, and training staff members and for resolving complex loan servicing issues.

 

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • A high school education or GED required
  • Minimum one year of mortgage servicing or loan servicing experience required

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Processes payment of homeowners insurance and flood insurance from escrow accounts. Tracks walls-in insurance to ensure that coverage is current. Force places insurance when needed. Works with members when an insurance loss takes place to ensure loss proceeds are disbursed to appropriate parties and all work is completed.
  • Processes payment of private mortgage insurance from escrow accounts. Assists members with requests to cancel private mortgage insurance. Prepares and reviews monthly loan activity and delinquency reports prior to delivery to MGIC.
  • Assist with charge off processing in the absence of the manager or supervisor.
  • Prepare and process requests for a loan subordination.
  • Performs escrow analysis on all required loans on a monthly basis. Reviews property tax and property insurance records to ensure accuracy of analysis. Reviews and researches large deficiencies and surpluses to ensure they are correct prior to the mailing of the escrow analysis statements.
  • Completes a monthly reconciliation of investor portfolios to ensure accurate reporting of payments and payoffs made during the reconciliation period. Researches and resolves any discrepancies identified by the investors.
  • Reports payments made on qualified loans modified through the HAMP program to the treasury on a monthly basis.
  • Works closely with the collections department to process loan modifications. Assists in providing solutions to members who are reporting financial hardship. Processing repossession checks and Lenders Protection claim proceeds.
  • Keeps management fully informed on the conditions and operations of the department.
  • Performs other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor

The good faith range for this position is $28.50 - $34.25 per hour. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
