About the school
Opened in August 2025, Shrewsbury International School India is the newest and largest boarding school for students aged 11 to 18 in India. Set on a breathtaking 150-acre campus in Madhya Pradesh at the very heart of the subcontinent the school is a flagship institution within the JSW Schools group and a proud extension of the globally respected Shrewsbury brand.
The school delivers a rigorous British curriculum: CIE Lower Secondary, progressing through IGCSEs to A Level and Further Mathematics, embedded within the holistic, whole-person philosophy for which Shrewsbury has been celebrated for over 450 years. State-of-the-art academic facilities sit alongside unparalleled provision for co-curricular and boarding life creating a community where intellectual ambition and personal growth go hand in hand.
The role
Due to the school's rapid expansion, we are growing our Mathematics Department and are looking for a passionate, dedicated and experienced teacher with the ability to teach confidently up to A Level and, ideally, Further Mathematics.

- Contribute to the growth and ambition of a flourishing Mathematics Department
- Nurture a genuine love for the subject from foundational skills through to advanced problem-solving
- Play an active role in the wider life of the school community
We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with an interest in contributing to the life of a boarding house. Those wishing to be considered for boarding responsibilities should indicate this clearly in their application letter.
Who we are looking for
- A qualified teacher with a strong academic background in Mathematics
- Proven experience teaching up to A Level; Further Mathematics experience is a distinct advantage
- Deep familiarity with the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) framework, or demonstrable ability to transition into it
- A collaborative, growth-oriented professional who thrives in a high-expectation environment
- Someone who sees teaching as a vocation and a boarding school as a community, not just a workplace
What we offer
- A competitive and attractive salary package
- Semi-furnished on-campus accommodation
- Tuition fee remission for up to two children at Shrewsbury India or equivalent remission at a local JSW sister school if your children are not yet of secondary age
- The chance to be part of a pioneering institution with a 150-acre world-class campus
- A collegial, ambitious and values-driven professional community
- The Shrewsbury name and all the heritage, network and purpose that comes with it
