Role Description
We are seeking a skilled Tea Taster for a full-time, on-site role at our Siliguri location. The Tea Taster will evaluate and ensure the quality, flavor, and aroma of different tea blends. Responsibilities include analyzing tea samples, maintaining detailed records, collaborating with the production team for quality assurance, and developing new blends to meet customer preferences. The role requires precision, a discerning palate, and a deep understanding of tea varieties and their characteristics.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of tea types, quality assessment, and flavor profiles
- Strong sensory evaluation skills and a highly developed palate
- Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and following standard testing protocols
- Good communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- An understanding of market trends and customer preferences related to tea products
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Relevant certifications or formal training in tea tasting or tea production are a plus
- Experience in the tea industry or a related field is highly advantageous
