TDK Ventures is looking for a curious individual motivated by meaningful impact to join our team as a Pre-MBA Intern, offering a unique opportunity to contribute a sense of purpose in the world of venture capital, with a strong emphasis on Deeptech sectors. This role is tailored for pre-MBA professionals seeking admission to Ivy League or equivalent business schools (Harvard, Kellogg, Wharton, Columbia, LBS, ISB) and who want to explore venture capital in a supportive, hands-on environment before beginning their MBA program. Responsibilities: The TDK Ventures Intern will work closely with our investment team to explore innovative solutions with global potential, gaining exposure to the entire investment lifecycle, from sourcing and evaluating potential investment opportunities to supporting portfolio companies. This is a collaborative and learning-rich opportunity that will enhance your understanding of venture capital investing and the deeptech startup ecosystems. In this role you will: - Research and build investment thesis on a variety of sectors. Explore deeptech innovations, venture trends, and market dynamics. - Collaborate with the team to identify new projects and evaluate emerging deeptech startups and trends through market research and networking. - Conduct due diligence through detailed analysis of business models, market potential, competitive landscapes, and financial metrics. - Analyze investment opportunities, prepare and present investment memos to the investment committee. Qualifications: - An undergraduate degree in the sciences; electrical, mechanical, chemical or computer engineering, physics, aerospace, or similar field from a top-tier institution (IITs, BITs, IIITs, NITs preferred) - 3-5 years in roles such as management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or deeptech startups - Familiarity with deep-tech sectors like AI/ML, advanced materials, robotics, biotech, or clean technology is desirable - Thoughtful approach to problem-solving and analysis, balanced with curiosity and a collaborative mindset - Clear and thoughtful written and verbal communication, with the ability to synthesize complex information in a way others can relate to - An entrepreneurial mindset, resourceful with a genuine passion for enabling innovation - A proactive approach, commitment to shared goals, and integrity in everything you do
