Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting Consolidation Consultant to support the design, implementation, and optimization of financial consolidation and reporting solutions. The role involves working closely with finance and controlling stakeholders to ensure accurate group consolidation, statutory reporting, and compliance across entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and implement SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting solutions for group consolidation and financial close
- Configure and manage:
- Consolidation units and consolidation groups
- Financial statement version (FSV) alignment
- Group reporting versions
- Perform consolidation activities including:
- Data collection and validation
- Currency translation
- Intercompany elimination (IC elimination)
- Investment consolidation
- Minority interest calculation
- Integrate SAP Group Reporting with SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO) and Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
- Support data integration from source systems (SAP & non-SAP)
- Design and validate consolidated financial statements, balance sheets, P&L, and cash flow
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into functional designs
- Prepare functional specifications (FS) and assist technical teams with development
- Support testing phases: Unit Testing (UT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Provide production support, issue resolution, and performance optimization
- Ensure compliance with IFRS / GAAP and statutory reporting standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Functional Skills
- Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting (Consolidation)
- In-depth knowledge of:
- Financial Consolidation concepts
- Intercompany accounting
- Currency translation
- Investment and equity consolidation
- Strong understanding of SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting)
- Knowledge of Universal Journal and Financial Close Cockpit
- Experience in data monitoring, validation rules, and error handling
Technical & System Skills
- SAP S/4HANA Finance configuration
- Integration knowledge with:
- SAP FI/CO
- CDS Views and reporting tools (basic understanding)
- Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for Group Reporting is a plus
Business & Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
- Experience working in global/multi-entity environments
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP S/4HANA Finance or Group Reporting certification
- Prior experience with Central Finance or legacy consolidation tools (EC-CS, BPC, SEM-BCS)
- Experience in large transformation or S/4HANA migration projects
- Exposure to IFRS / US GAAP consolidation requirements
