About the role
Taylor Preston Limited is a privately owned meat processor based in Ngauranga Gorge with a proud and successful long-term operating history.
Taylor Preston employs approximately 750 employees during the peak season and around 450 employees during the off-peak season. The plant is multi-species, with both mutton and beef slaughter boards.
Reporting to the CFO the software developer will be a skilled .NET Developer with experience in C#, WPF, MAUI, and SQL Server to develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise-grade applications. This role involves designing, developing and deploying software solutions across both front-end and back-end systems while ensuring seamless integration with on-premise databases.
The key duties and responsibilities include but restricted to:
Software Development & Architecture
Database Management & Optimization
Front-End Development & UI/UX
Integration & API Development
System Maintenance & Performance Optimization
Implement secure coding practices to protect applications from vulnerabilities.
Follow industry best practices for software development, testing, and deployment.
The Software Developer will be available during business hours and some after hours work may be required in emergencies. You will have good time management skills and an ability to work under pressure.
You will be an integral member of a fun and exciting team with plenty of challenges. As our business is seasonal there will be some flexibility in working hours in the off season.
