Position Summary: Support and manage the organisation's tax compliance, planning, and advisory functions across India and international markets. The role involves ensuring timely statutory compliance, supporting strategic tax initiatives, managing direct and indirect tax matters, and collaborating with cross-functional and global teams to drive efficient tax governance. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Indian taxation, international tax regulations, and transfer pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end direct and indirect tax compliances for Indian entities, including Income Tax, TDS, and GST, ensuring timely filings and statutory adherence.
- Prepare and file Income Tax Returns, TDS returns, GST returns, advance tax computations, tax provisions, and deferred tax calculations.
- Support corporate tax planning and advisory by providing tax-efficient solutions for strategic business initiatives and complex transactions.
- Coordinate and monitor international tax compliance across overseas subsidiaries, including tax return filings,tax provisions, compliance calendars, and tax budgets.
- Handle international taxation matters, including withholding tax, Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements (DTAA),foreign remittances, and cross-border tax implications.
- Lead and support tax assessments, audits, notices, and litigation, including preparation of documentation,responses to tax authorities, and coordination with consultants.
- Manage Transfer Pricing planning, documentation, and compliance for domestic and international intercompany transactions.
- Prepare periodic MIS reports and tax dashboards for management, highlighting compliance status, tax exposures, and regulatory updates.
- Stay updated with changes in Indian and international tax laws, proactively assessing their business impact and recommending appropriate actions.
- Work closely with finance, legal, and business teams to strengthen tax governance while ensuring compliance with allied regulations such as FEMA and indirect tax laws.
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) Qualified
- 3+ years of post-qualification experience in Direct & Indirect Taxation.
- Strong expertise in Corporate Tax, Income Tax, TDS, GST, and International Taxation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet statutory deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
