Tax Intern (Direct & Indirect Tax)
Duration: 6 months (Full-Time conversion after that)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Taxation Intern to support our finance team in handling both direct and indirect tax compliances. This internship will provide hands-on exposure to tax filings, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Tax:
- Assist in preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns
- Support in TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) calculations and filings
- Help in maintaining tax records and documentation
- Assist in responding to notices and basic tax assessments
Indirect Tax:
- Support in GST return preparation and filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.)
- Assist in reconciliation of GST data with financial records
- Help track input tax credit (ITC) and vendor compliance
- Maintain proper records for audits and compliance
General Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all tax-related data
- Assist in tax audits and internal reviews
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations
- Coordinate with internal teams for data collection and validation
Eligibility Criteria:
- Pursuing or recently completed B.Com / M.Com
- Basic understanding of Income Tax and GST
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting tools
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Willing to extend time and flexible to work on deliverable timelines
Preferred Skills:
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
