About the role

Tata Trusts is looking for a Deputy Head of Programme to lead and manage the Tata Trusts' programmes in the areas of Health, Education, Livelihoods, Rural Transformation, Urban Development, and Water & Sanitation. The Deputy Head of Programme will report to the Head of Programmes and will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the programme teams, ensuring effective programme implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, and driving the overall programme impact. The key responsibilities include: 1. Provide strategic direction and leadership to the programme teams to achieve the overall programme objectives and outcomes. 2. Lead, manage, and mentor the programme teams to ensure effective implementation of the programmes. 3. Develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track programme progress and impact. 4. Ensure effective coordination and collaboration with various stakeholders, including government agencies, implementation partners, and other Tata Trusts' programmes. 5. Contribute to the development of new programme proposals and strategies to address emerging needs and opportunities. 6. Represent the Tata Trusts in various forums and meetings to showcase the work and impact of the programmes. 7. Provide inputs and insights to the Head of Programmes for strategic decision-making and programme planning. 8. Ensure compliance with the Tata Trusts' policies, processes, and guidelines. The ideal candidate should have: 1. Postgraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Development Studies, Management, Public Policy). 2. Minimum 12-15 years of experience in the development sector, with a strong track record of leading and managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary programmes. 3. Demonstrated expertise in programme design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. 4. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills. 5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 6. Ability to work in a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. 7. Commitment to the Tata Trusts' values and mission.
