Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tandoor Commis Chef based in Defence Colony. The Tandoor Commis Chef's responsibilities include preparing and cooking tandoor items, maintaining high standards of food hygiene and quality, assisting senior chefs in food preparation, and ensuring kitchen inventory and supplies are well-stocked. The role also involves collaborating with the kitchen team to create consistent and flavorful dishes while adhering to safety and sanitation protocols.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Tandoor cooking techniques, including marination, grilling, and baking
- Basic culinary skills, including food preparation, portioning, and quality control
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen sanitation practices
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities
- Willingness to learn and adapt to Italian-inspired culinary techniques and menus
- Relevant culinary training or certifications are an advantage
- Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering setup is preferred
