The Manager of Assisted Living will be responsible for the daily operations of the Residential Care Apartment Complex (RCAC) and accountable for adherence to facility policies and procedures. They play a key role in managing the daily operations of the RCAC, ensuring the highest quality of care and service for tenants. The Manager works closely with the RCAC team to foster a positive work environment, promote staff professional growth, and collaborates with the Campus Administrator to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Oversees the admission process and maintains occupancy at or above 95%.
- Treats tenants and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses the psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs of tenants and their families.
- Conducts tours, provides printed and verbal information about the RCAC, and oversees the inquiry and assessment of prospective tenants.
- Oversees monthly activity schedule and activity programming, as well as transports tenants on outings and to appointments
- Maintains GOLD standard in the Wisconsin Coalition for Collaborative Excellence in Assisted Living (WCCEAL), submits quarterly reports to WCCEAL, and uses data to drive quality improvement efforts.
- Plans and initiates new programs for enhancing services.
- Updates tenant service plans and risk agreements as needed.
- Directs care being given to the tenant in accordance with the tenant’s service plan.
- Develops and maintains RCAC policies and procedures
- Assures compliance with state regulations to maintain RCAC license.
- Collaborates and responds promptly to tenant or family concerns. Investigates issues and attempts to resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Is responsible for employee evaluations, as well as the disciplinary process.
- Maintains basic knowledge of budget and makes decisions in light of fiscal constraints, including determining and reviewing rate structure for RCAC.
Education/Experience:
Required:
- 1-2 years of experience in Assisted Living or similar setting
- Current BLS certification, or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
Preferred:
- Previous management experience
- Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing
