Junior Java Developer

The Junior Java Developer will support the development, testing, and maintenance of Java-based applications, contributing to both front-end and back-end components under the guidance of senior developers. This entry-level role offers exposure to enterprise-level projects in a collaborative and fast-paced development environment. The position requires basic programming knowledge, eagerness to learn, and adherence to best coding practices and UAE data protection standards. Responsibilities: Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented Java code for assigned features and modules. Assisting in the development and debugging of server-side logic and user-facing elements. Participating in code reviews and incorporating feedback to improve software quality. Supporting the integration of APIs, third-party libraries, and backend services. Executing unit tests and identifying bugs or performance bottlenecks in collaboration with QA teams. Maintaining technical documentation related to design specifications and development changes. Collaborating with team members in agile/scrum environments to meet sprint goals and deadlines. Ensuring data security and privacy are maintained in compliance with UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Up to 2 years of hands-on experience with Java development; internship or academic project experience is acceptable. Familiarity with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, or JSP. Basic understanding of RESTful APIs, databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), and version control systems like Git. Good problem-solving and debugging skills with a willingness to learn and adapt. Exposure to software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus. UAE residency or eligibility to work in the UAE is mandatory.
