About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic HR Manager & Technical Talent Acquisition specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in building and scaling a high-performance workforce capable of supporting our advanced technological projects. This role involves end-to-end talent acquisition, designing recruitment strategies, managing HR operations, and fostering organizational development. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing top-tier talent across various technical and operational domains, ensuring compliance with HR policies and statutory regulations, and enhancing the employer brand in the competitive deep-tech industry. This position demands a proactive, execution-oriented professional with excellent communication skills, strong leadership qualities, and a deep understanding of the technical landscape and HR functions in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Candidates with a technical degree such as Computer Science or Engineering, coupled with relevant HR experience, are also encouraged to apply. A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in talent acquisition and recruitment processes within deep-tech industries is essential. Experience in HR operations, performance management, and organizational development is highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to understand technical profiles, evaluate candidates effectively, and possess strong negotiation and communication skills. Knowledge of Indian labour laws and HR compliance is mandatory, along with proficiency in using ATS platforms, HR software, and AI-driven recruitment tools.
Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Hiring Systems:
- Lead the complete hiring lifecycle from role definition and sourcing to onboarding, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
- Design and implement structured hiring procedures, including screening processes, technical assessments, and interview frameworks.
- Collaborate with department heads and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop workforce planning strategies.
- Identify and recruit talent across multiple categories, including deep-tech engineers, researchers, domain experts such as retired defence officers and professors, freelancers, technicians, operational staff, and interns.
- Proactively source exceptional talent from startups, research labs, universities, and defence organizations, maintaining a strong talent pipeline.
- Study technical concepts to accurately evaluate candidate suitability for specialized roles.
- Manage assessment platforms for technical evaluations, coding tests, and engineering assessments.
- Build and maintain relationships with college placement coordinators and manage campus hiring programs.
- Execute bulk hiring drives during production and project trial phases.
- Benchmark market salary structures and lead salary negotiations and offer discussions.
HR Operations & Organizational Development
- Manage core HR functions, including HR software, applicant tracking systems, documentation, and employee records.
- Enhance employer branding through targeted campaigns, social media engagement, and positioning Zoid as an employer of choice in the deep-tech domain.
- Ensure compliance with Indian labour laws, statutory requirements, and employment contracts.
- Coordinate with finance for payroll processing, audits, and manpower cost management.
- Lead performance management cycles, including goal setting, feedback systems, performance reviews, and development plans.
- Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and professional growth.
- Track recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of hiring strategies and make data-driven decisions.
- Conduct onboarding and orientation programs to integrate new hires effectively.
- Handle sensitive HR issues, including conflict resolution, performance management, and exit processes, ensuring a smooth offboarding experience.
- Leverage AI tools and automation to streamline recruitment processes, including resume shortlisting, candidate scoring, interview question generation, and JD optimization.
