Role:
We are looking for a sharp, metrics-driven Talent Acquisition Lead to own end-to-end recruitment for deep-tech engineering roles at ClearRoute India. As an IC, you will be the primary driver of sourcing strategy, candidate engagement, stakeholder alignment, and hiring quality across India region. You will operate with high autonomy, be deeply embedded with engineering hiring managers, and be accountable for delivering measurable outcomes that directly impact our growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Recruitment Ownership
- Own the complete hiring lifecycle for deep-tech roles — from intake and sourcing strategy through screening, assessment, offer negotiation, and pre-boarding.
- Partner with engineering hiring managers to build precise role definitions, competency frameworks, and structured interview plans.
- Drive pipeline generation through LinkedIn Recruiter, Naukri, Boolean search, and niche deep-tech communities - GitHub, Stack Overflow, Kaggle, Discord - not just traditional job boards.
- Ensure a high-touch, candidate-centric experience at every stage, minimising drop-offs and maintaining strong candidate NPS.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and Delivery Teams to ensure seamless handoffs from offer acceptance through Day 1.
Deep Tech Specialisation
- Develop genuine technical literacy - enough to accurately screen resumes, evaluate profiles, and hold credible pre-screening conversations for complex engineering roles.
- Build and maintain a proactive talent pipeline for hard-to-fill positions, including Distributed Systems Engineers, ML Engineers, Platform/SRE Leads, and Agentic AI specialists.
- Calibrate hiring bars with technical interview panels to ensure consistent, high-quality assessment across all roles.
- Stay current on deep-tech talent market trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitor hiring activity in India and globally.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted talent advisor to engineering hiring managers and business leaders across four regions - UK, US, Bulgaria, and India - proactively sharing market insights, pipeline health, and hiring risks.
- Conduct structured intake meetings to align on role priorities, timelines, candidate profiles, and compensation expectations before kicking off searches.
- Facilitate debrief sessions and drive structured feedback loops to improve decision velocity and reduce time-in-process.
- Manage expectations transparently when market realities require recalibration of timelines or candidate profiles - including pushing back constructively when needed.
Metrics, KPIs & Data-Driven Hiring
- Own and report on all key hiring metrics with full accountability for outcomes. This includes time-to-fill, offer-to-join ratios, source effectiveness, pipeline conversion, and quality-of-hire scores.
- Build and maintain real-time recruitment dashboards and weekly/monthly hiring scorecards for leadership visibility.
- Conduct 30-60-90 day performance check-ins with hiring managers to feed into quality-of-hire tracking.
- Use data to proactively identify drop-off points, sourcing inefficiencies, and interview panel bottlenecks - and take corrective action.
- Contribute to quarterly talent planning and workforce forecasting with data-backed insights on pipeline lead times and market availability.
Employer Branding & Candidate Experience
- Represent ClearRoute India authentically to candidates - communicating our engineering culture, tech stack, growth opportunities, and mission with conviction.
- Contribute to employer branding initiatives: deep-tech community engagement, hackathons, tech talks, and content creation in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Maintain high candidate NPS through timely communication, respectful processes, and honest feedback.
Required Experience:
- Proven end-to-end technical recruiting experience in a high-growth tech company or product startup
- Demonstrable track record closing hard-to-fill engineering roles - SDET, DevOPs, Agentic AI, Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, Infrastructure, or Distributed Systems
- Strong proficiency with sourcing tools: LinkedIn Recruiter, Naukri, GitHub, niche job boards, and talent intelligence platforms
- Experience owning hiring metrics - analysing and acting on them, not just reporting
- Excellent stakeholder management; able to push back constructively and manage competing priorities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to sell a role and company vision to passive, high-demand candidates
Desirable Experience:
- Technical background or degree in Computer Science / Engineering - a genuine edge in deep-tech screening conversations
- Experience building or contributing to diversity hiring programmes for engineering pipelines
