Talend Architect - Job Description
The Talend Architect at Unison Group will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and high-performance data integration solutions using Talend. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, data engineers, and architects to build end-to-end data pipelines that meet organizational data needs.
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Talend-based ETL/ELT solutions
- Develop scalable and maintainable data integration workflows to support business intelligence and analytics
- Define best practices and standards for Talend development and deployment within the organization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design appropriate solutions
- Ensure data quality, data governance, and security compliance across data integration solutions
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to Talend developers
- Optimize Talend jobs and workflows for performance and resource utilization
- Participate in evaluating and integrating new data integration tools and technologies when necessary
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of Talend architecture and data flows
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data integration and ETL development with a strong focus on Talend (Talend Data Integration, Talend Open Studio)
- Proven expertise in designing and architecting Talend-based data integration solutions
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and best practices
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.)
- Experience with data quality, data governance, and metadata management practices
- Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders
